My trip to San Francisco: A photo essay

February 2013

DSC_0577I had always wanted to visit San Francisco, and after writing Dialing Dreams, I decided I just had to go see it.

So off I went, not sure what to expect, only sure that I wanted to ride a cable car or two and admire the ocean view.

What I found were some great memories and an appreciation for a very beautiful city.

Pacific Heights

DSC_0900The Pacific Heights neighbourhood, which was close to the hotel I stayed at, had some amazing houses (and steep hills!) And I discovered this eautiful wrought-iron detailing on a light.

Ghirardelli Square

Ghirardelli square entranceThe gold rush sundae in the Ghirardelli cafe was my favorite. (Topped with peanuts and Ghirardelli chocolate sauce!) And they hand out free chocolate bar samples.

Fog City Diner

Cable Cars

Nick’s apartment

Nick's apartmentStraight out of Dialing Dreams! When I saw this apartment foyer, it immediately made me think of Nick’s place on the waterfront and so I just had to take a picture.
